GARNER, N.C. — Dr. Adam Moore recently earned a special credential from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Moore, of the Moore Smiles Today dental practice in Garner, was recently recognized as a fellow. The professional association awards fellowship status to member dentists who complete education, research and clinical experience requirements.
Dental Implants are the best way to replace a lost tooth. The implants are titanium screws that can be placed into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots. Crowns and bridges can then be attached to the implants to replace the missing teeth.
Unlike a bridge, the implant will sit on its own, not resting on or connected to other teeth, and the appearance is much more natural. The result is also far more comfortable than dentures, which can slide around and make eating difficult.
“Taking the time to earn the fellowship status was an important part of making sure I offer my patients not only the latest technology but the latest techniques to improve comfort and care,” Moore said. “I’m proud to be named a fellow by such a prestigious organization that works hard to educate people about dental implants.”
